Heap & Partners carries a stock of seamless precision tubes for use in instrumentation with smooth bright annealed surfaces and with strict requirements to deviation in diameter and wall thickness therefore reducing the risk of leakages when connecting with Parker single or twin ferrule couplings. Our Instrumentation tubes are available in stainless, duplex, nickel or titanium with diameters from 1.5 mm OD to 60 mm OD on random lengths of 6 meters or on coils up to 1000 meter long without welds. Especially suited for corrosive and severe environments, all valves are developed with specialized super duplex and titanium surfaces and can be used on fire main water, cooling water and sour gas application where there are high levels of hydrogen sulphide, which require the use of specialized construction to prevent stress cracking.

Because of their specialized metal seating and lack of rubber parts, Solent & Pratt Triple Offset valves are ideal for high pressure and temperature applications where conventional valves would fail. Their light alloy surfaces also provide the benefit of low-cost installation and lighter weight, which benefits offshore installations where weight saving is of a premium.

State-of-the-Art Concept and Design

Product design includes “ Double and “Triple Offset” with field removable zero leakage seating, available in metal to metal, resilient and PTFE with BS 6755: Part 2 and API 6FA: API 607 4th edition. Saunders NX Check Valve is the check valve of choice; a full bore non-return valve capable of handling corrosive media and slurries

Saunders NX check valves consist of a body, seat and a rubber disc. the disc acts as a sealing flap allowing flow in one direction only. The action of the fluid flowing in one direction will push the disc away from the seat, but flow (with a pressure>0.35 bar for water or  >0.7 bar for air) in the opposite direction will press the disc against the seat, preventing fluid flow in that direction.

The NX valve utilises the body/set fastenings to directly secure the disc. The mating flanges of the body and the seat are therefore flat faced.

Saunders EX Diaphragms

Saunders® EX Endurance Diaphragm features two-piece leaf-type construction. The diaphragm consists of a wetted modified PTFE face with a non-wetted fabric reinforced Silicone backing cushion.

 

The Silicone backing offers exceptional resistance to high temperatures compared to EPDM. EPDM rubbers suffer damage with prolonged exposure to temperature such as encountered during heat sterilization. This damage results in loss of resiliency and resistance to compression set and reduces the ability of the EPDM backing to properly energize the wetted PTFE diaphragm face.

 Saunders Passivation Diaphragm

The Saunders® Passivation Diaphragm is designed specifically for use during passivation of stainless steel systems in life science applications. This new diaphragm is a practical solution for the industry where it is common practice to replace seals and valve diaphragms after passivation. Each passivation diaphragm is equipped with a high visibility, bright yellow tag that extends outside the valve assembly, indicating that the installed diaphragm is for passivation use only. This cautionary feature reminds end-users of the diaphragm’s sole purpose, thus reducing the risk that it will be left in the system after exposure to passivation chemicals and preventing possible contamination from detritus or anodic components becoming embedded in the diaphragm face.

Saunders WFB Valves are utilized as fire main hydrants and in tank cleaning services for marine and offshore oil installations.  Available in DN40 and DN65 Sizes in both Gunmetal and SG Iron materials.  These are highly specialised valves that have been tested and approved by the world’s leading safety agencies, and are designed to work up to a maximum of 15 bar.

The T4E Valves features a thick, continuous PFA liner which is locked to the body by T-slots. Revo 1/4 Turn Rack & Pinion Actuators

The REVO® Series R range of actuators is ideal for operating quarter-turn valves, especially butterfly, ball and plug valves. Typical applications are 90º or 180º rotary motion and Multiposition function.

 

The linear counter movement of the pistons is transmitted into the required 90º travel by means of the integrated racks of the pistons and the pinion.

The Saunders® I-VUE is an intelligent valve sensor designed specifically for aseptic diaphragm valve applications in the Life Science industry. Compatible with Point-to-Point (P2P), AS-i, and DeviceNet control systems, the Saunders® I-VUE offers substantial benefits over standard switch controls.

I-Vue Enhance Reliability and Accuracy with Saunders® I-VUE solid state continuous sensing technology that provides precise position readings for the entire valve range from 0.25” to 4.00” (DN8 to DN100). Simplify Installation by utilizing automated valve calibration without opening the IP67 rated polycarbonate sensor enclosure, reducing set up times to 3 minutes or less.

Heaps Condensate Return Sets

Our range of condensate return sets are designed for energy conservation and recovery. On a steam heating or process system, the heat used to produce the steam is often discarded. Our condensate return sets collects the hot water in the receiver and pumps it back to the boiler hot well, when the process is repeated, less heat is required to produce the steam, making the system more efficient.

A general purpose cast single basket filter, suitable for use on liquid and gas, fitted with a quick-release cover for ease of maintenance. Used where the flow can be isolated so the basket can be removed for cleaning.

Plenty Duplex D-Type Basket Strainers

Plenty offers a large range of cast Duplex (Dual) basket filters for use on liquid applications. With all designs offering integral changeover of the filtration chambers, the Plenty Duplex offers a safe and reliable way of providing continuous operation during basket cleaning. The integral changeover arrangement also gives a small footprint and minimal face-to-face dimensions. For duties with large flow capacities, Plenty offers the Large D Type Duplex which offers continuous filtration during the cleaning process.

Plenty Self-Cleaning Filters

Plenty offers Self-cleaning filters for liquid duties requiring continuous filtration without interruption to the flow during the cleaning process. Self-cleaning filters are available in either manual or automatic versions with standard design options for either low pressure (14 BARG) or high pressure (35 BARG) system. In operation, the liquid enters the body and flows through the element from outside to inside. Debris is collected on the outside of the wedge wire element, which is cleaned without flow interruption by rotating the cylindrical element against twin scraper blades. The debris accumulated during element rotation is deposited into the bottom of the filter body from where it is periodically discharged, manually or automatically.

Saunders® Industrial Diaphragm Spares

The Saunders® Industrial Diaphragm Valve, first developed more than seventy years ago, has evolved to handle more fluids, gases, solids, and powder than any other type of valve. A wide choice of materials are available and a flexible range of operating methods have been developed to satisfy the needs of most industrial applications.

Extended life, reliability, safety and ease of use, combined with an essentially simple design, facilitate low maintenance and minimal running costs. When subjected to both pressure and vacuum, Saunders® diaphragm valves operate and close 100% leaktight. This feature reduces processing and handling costs by cutting out the waste normally associated with conventional valve designs.

Saunders offers a full range of diaphragm selections engineered to meet the exacting demands of our industrial customers. All grades of rubber and PTFE have been developed to suit individual customer requirements and are proven, even in the most arduous environments.

All Saunders diaphragms are made from high quality materials and are manufactured in-house to strict quality standards. This is borne out by the fact that all diaphragms are fully traceable in accordance with EN10204 3.1. Saunders® XA Ultimate Series Industrial Diaphragm

Developed in-house using a compound based on an ethylene propylene (EP) technology, the Saunders® XA Ultimate Series Industrial Diaphragm offers increased erosion resistance in both corrosive and abrasive applications, including fertilizer, metals, chemical and mining.

Saunders NX Check Valve is the check valve of choice; a full bore non-return valve capable of handling corrosive media and slurries

 

Saunders NX check valves consist of a body, seat and a rubber disc. the disc acts as a sealing flap allowing flow in one direction only. The action of the fluid flowing in one direction will push the disc away from the seat, but flow (with a pressure>0.35 bar for water or  >0.7 bar for air) in the opposite direction will press the disc against the seat, preventing fluid flow in that direction.

The NX valve utilises the body/set fastenings to directly secure the disc. The mating flanges of the body and the seat are therefore flat faced.

The Crane®FKX 9000 Triple Offset Valves valve design is recommended for industrial applications where large bore valves handle hot steam or isolate parts of their plants and have high/low temperatures that prevent the use of rubber lining elements.

Compared to ball valves, the Crane®FKX 9000 Triple Offset Valves is an affordable solution that requires less structural support to ensure bubble tight shut-off. The result is a virtual zero leak rate even in high-pressure, high-temperature applications. Due to their quarter-turn movement for opening and closing, the valves are easy to automate and they can full fill a quick closing time, which is often required in safety applications.
