        • Actuators & AccessoriesAn actuator is a component of a machine that is responsible for moving or controlling a mechanism or system. It requires a control signal and a source of energy. The control signal is relatively low energy and may be electric voltage or current, pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. The supplied main energy source may be electric current, hydraulic fluid pressure, or pneumatic pressure. When the control signal is received, the actuator responds by converting the energy into mechanical motion.

        • Ball ValvesA ball valve is a form of quarter-turn valve which uses a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball to control flow through it. It is open when the ball’s hole is in line with the flow and closed when it is pivoted 90-degrees by the valve handle. The handle lies flat in alignment with the flow when open, and is perpendicular to it when closed, making for easy visual confirmation of the valve’s status. Ball valves are durable, performing well after many cycles, and reliable, closing securely even after long periods of disuse. These qualities make them an excellent choice for shutoff and control applications, where they are often preferred to gates and globe valves.

        • Butterfly ValvesA butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favoured because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required. The disc is positioned in the centre of the pipe; passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Unlike a ball valve, the disc is always present within the flow, so a pressure drop is always induced in the flow, regardless of valve position.

        • Control Valves & RegulatorsA control valve is a valve used to control fluid flow by varying the size of the flow passage as directed by a signal from a controller. This enables the direct control of flow rate and the consequential control of process quantities such as pressure, temperature, and liquid level. Pressure regulator is a control valve that reduces the input pressure of a fluid to a desired value at its output. Regulators are used for gases and liquids, and can be an integral device with an output pressure setting, a restrictor and a sensor all in the one body, or consist of a separate pressure sensor, controller and flow valve.

        • Diaphragm ValvesDiaphragm valves (or membrane valves) consists of a valve body with two or more ports, a diaphragm, and a “weir or saddle” or seat upon which the diaphragm closes the valve. The valve is constructed from either plastic or metal. There are two main categories of diaphragm valves: The A Type seals over a “weir” (saddle) and the KB Type (sometimes called a “full bore or straight-way” valve) seals over a seat. The A Type (Weir) is the most common in process applications and the KB Type is more commonly used in slurry applications to reduce blocking issues but exists also as a process valve. Diaphragm valves can be manual or automated. Their application is generally as shut-off valves in process systems within the industrial, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

        • Check ValvesCheck Valve – A check valve, clack valve, non-return valve or one-way valve is a valve that normally allows fluid (liquid or gas) to flow through it in only one direction. Gate Valve – A gate valve, also known as a sluice valve, is a valve which opens by lifting a round or rectangular gate/wedge out of the path of the fluid. The distinct feature of a gate valve is the sealing surfaces between the gate and seats are planar, so gate valves are often used when a straight-line flow of fluid and minimum restriction is desired Globe Valve – A Globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body.           • Piston / Lift Check ValvesCheck valves are self-automated valves that allow the flow of gases and liquids to move one way, preventing any reverse or backward flow of material inside a pipeline. Its versatile nature allows them to be installed vertically or horizontally, without human interaction, and reliant on the flow to open and close. The internal disc inside the check valve allows the flow to pass forward, which opens the valve. Then, dependent on its design, the disc starts to close the valve as the forwarding flow decreases or reverses
          • Swing Check ValvesMounted with a disc that swings on a hinge or shaft, the disc swings off the seat to allow forward flow; when the flow stops, the disc swings back to the seat to block flow moving in reverse.           • Condensate Return Sets
          • Gate ValvesGate valves are useful for fully open and fully closed service functions. Ideal for installation in pipelines as isolation components, the valve opens when lifting a gate out of the pathway of the fluid and closes when the gate returns to its position. Compact in design, gate valves require little space along the pipe axis and don’t restrict the flow when the gate is opened fully. They are also known as multi-turn valves and operate either clockwise to close or clockwise to open the rotating motion of the threaded stem.
          • Globe ValvesA globe valve can stop, start and regulate flow in a pipeline. The valve is shaped like a sphere and includes a stem that moves up and down, a disc, and a seat. It works by the disc lowering or raising through the valve stem. When the disc lowers, the flow pattern shuts off; if the disc increases to maximum, the flow runs at maximum too. If the disc raises to less than maximum, the flow regulates in proportion to the vertical disc position.
