An actuator is a machine component in charge of moving or directing a mechanism or system. It requires a control signal as well as an energy supply. The control signal is low-energy and can take the form of electric voltage or current, pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. Electric current, hydraulic fluid pressure, or pneumatic pressure may be used as the primary energy source. The actuator responds to the control signal by transforming the energy into mechanical motion.
Actuators and Accessories are available from Heaps & Partners in a variety of brands, including Keystone and Elomatic.
